Wenyen Gabriel is a South Sudanese-American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats, after being a 5-star prospect in 2016, ranked as high as #14 on ESPN's Top 100.
Known for his defensive prowess and versatility on the court, Gabriel has played for several NBA teams including the Los Angeles Lakers, where he has made significant contributions to the team's success.

Wenyen Gabriel Youth Basketball Camp
In July of 2022, the Wenyen Gabriel Youth Basketball Camp was born and hosted in Juba, South Sudan through the collaborative efforts of ROSS Leaders, So Elite Basketball Training Team, and Los Angeles Lakers player, Wenyen Gabriel.
Our leaders were able to maximize their impact by bridging the gap between youth athletics and development in South Sudan and within the diaspora as well. During this time, our team met with community leaders, visited refugee camps, and fully immersed ourselves into Juba's culture.
